DIY : Flower Canvas (With Video)

2:22 AM

For months, in London, I looked for synthetic flowers, but I had no luck finding any. Or maybe I was looking in the wrong places. But when I got back to Dubai, I found the flower heaven in Dragon Mall!

So I got many flowers of some colors and decided to make a flower canvas. I learned to do this from Kandee Johnson when she made a flower display board and used it as a background for some of her videos.

I thought I'd design my own flower canvas with just a few color selection.

If you also want to do this, this is what you will need :

Flowers!!

Canvas of any size, or a wall/headboard/door/whatever you want to fill with flowers!

Sharp scissors

Glue Gun

Now let's get to work!

First, pull the flowers off their stems. Some might be hard to take off, but keep trying.

Then you'll get the flowers looking like this from the back :

Then, you cut the little plastic stick that's stuck on the back of the flower

To make it flat like this..

When you have all the flowers ready and flat, turn the glue gun on and place it on a little plate.

By the time it heats up, organize the flowers on the canvas to know where to put each before permanently sticking them on the canvas.

Then start gluing one by one

Until it looks like this. Try to avoid showing white gaps between the flowers, buy little flowers to fill out the spaces. Start with one corner then work around it.

Until the whole canvas is filled..

And this is the final result =)
The filter was by instagram that's why the colors are different!

Hope you liked this post, it was a lot of fun doing the canvas, let me know if you make one, I'd love to see it =)

DIY : Ombre-Paint An Old Frame.

5:09 PM

Get ready. Today we're getting our hands dirty with COLOURS!

I've had these IKEA frames for years and years and they have been in the closet for ages collecting dust.
Since me and my parents recently moved to a new home, I found many things that I don't use and  can now transform and use in a different way to decorate my new room instead of throwing them in away.

For the smallest frame, I chose to paint it a purple-pink Ombre.

I didn't have acrylic so I used fabric paint to do it. I have too many fabric paint from university days and I barley used them before. They worked perfectly like any other paint. So you can use any kind too =)

I mixed them with my finger tip and kept going back and forth until I got the result I want.
After that I glued two small synthetic flowers on the corner and it was ready to frame!

I put Modelicious Management's flyer inside the frame, it was my first project in my first internship in 2010.
I got to make the dress and come up with the idea of the photo shoot, so it means so much to me =)

Enjoy xox

Here I mixed a few drops of hot pink with the purple.

Always think twice before throwing something away, you can use it in a million different ways =)
Have a nice weekend!

Review : Products For Dry Skin/Hair.

9:40 PM

Hi ladies, I hope you are all well =)

For about two months now, I've been on an acne medication called Curacne.
And as it dries out the skin so that the acne/acne scars will go away forever, it will dry up the whole body too, which made me change all of the products that I've used before.
I'm only in the second month out of six, and I'm already feeling a huge change.
I can't leave my face without any moisturizer, my lips without lip balm, and my hands without cream.
Sometimes I forget to apply cream on my hand and the second day it starts burning and itching!!
Even my hair got really dry, it barley gets oily anymore, it's clean all the time, that's the only thing I liked haha

Anyways, just like how they say you can't know who's a true friend until you're in trouble, well, the  same thing goes for this. You can't know which products can REALLY moisturize and take care of your skin until your body starts drying out and crying for moisture.

I've tried many many body gels, the most deliciously smelling ones. But honestly, they focus too much on the smell and the color that they forget it's taking the moisture out of the body!

So finally I used Dove, yes I know everyone knows it's good but really, it's the best one I've ever tried!

I also use Dove hand wash, I did also try many more brands before, but my hands were getting drier and drier since I wash my hands a a lot. Dove is like my bestfriend, always there to catch me when I'm falling haha!

For the shampoo, I just started using Vatika, and I love it so far. My hair is recovering from the previous shampoos I've used that took all the moisture out of it.

I also have tried the Vatika oil for the hair. It was also very good to my hair, I wish I do it more often!

For the conditioner I use Pantene Pro-V oil replacement. I keep it on for a little bit then rinse it out. It's the reason I even have hair!haha! It's definitely a recommendation.

As for my hands/arms/knees/heels/sometimes lips, I use Vaseline, the original jelly one, not the liquid ones. And no not this crystallized one haha just the ordinary one!
It is magic, it calms down irritated skin, it moisturizes, it softens, it's just perfect and super fast to heal dry skin.

I currently use many kinds of lip balms, every time I go to the pharmacy I get a different one. And I never had problem with any.

Now with the most important part of this post. The face cream and the sun block.
These were prescribed to me by the doctor. I've never used a cream that stays on the whole day, and feels amazingly soft. Every time I apply it, I feel like I'm feeding my skin, it's very concentrated with moisture that you only put two drops and you're ready. I put two drops on my hand, mix it with one drop of sun block, mix them then apply on a clean face before the makeup.

I've posted about those foundations before, and here they are again, I've changed the way I use them now since my face is clearing up a lot and I don't need much coverage anymore. It's also dry so I'm using the liquid one a little bit more, then tap it a little with the powder foundation.
After that I use the Makeup Forever hot pink blush to give a natural look(I use it as lipstick sometimes too and mix it with lip balm)

This is irrelevant but I'm kind of obsessed with finding a good deodorant, I've used the same one for years and now decided to switch to spray. I tried three and didn't like any until I tried Rexona powder. I LOVE it, it's smell is too good sometimes I wouldn't want to wear perfume cause of how good it smells. If you have trouble finding a good deodorant, then this one is worth the try.

I hope this helped you in a way =)
Don't forget to drink lots of water

Have an amazing day/night wherever you are
