Eid Mubarak To All.

9:19 PM

In a few hours, tomorrow to be exact, will be Eid Al-Adha! I am so excited and happy about it as usual, when we were kids we used to style and put our new clothes next to our beds and the second we wake up that morning we wear them and go out and wish everyone a happy Eid.

Today, I am a little older and there are different things I'm doing the days before Eid, I'm cleaning the whole house, doing the dishes, changing the sheets to new clean ones, and of course calling most family to wish them a happy Eid.

Above is a picture of me and my mom on Eid two years ago. Time flies so fast it feels like yesterday!!
This Eid will be the first one which my mom will not be with us. But I am so happy about it.
She went to do Hajj this year and she will be back in a few days! I am so proud of her and I can't wait to see her when she's back. I can't wait for the day that I do Hajj too, I look forward to that day everyday.

So for everyone reading this, Eid Mubarak to you and your family, and I hope that all your prayers were received and all your hearts are clean and ready for these holy days.

Don't forget to :

Love
Forgive others
Share your blessings
Give the less fortunate
Care for everyone
Look for the best in people
Thank God every second
Count your blessings
Be nice
Smile to people
Spread your happiness
And most importantly, keep smiling =)

Wish you all an amazing weekend and Eid.

in love with music

Just Me & Music

4:29 AM

So many amazing songs are out there, underrated, maybe even unknown. I've always loved looking for new songs, all kinds of music. Sometimes I read the lyrics before I listen to the song, and I fall in love with the words, that when I hear the song, I feel like I already know it.
It's been a while since I just sat and listened to amazing music on full blast! I didn't plan to, but I've been listening to music for the past 4 hours. I keep discovering new and old music on YouTube  So many old songs that I've always been in love with but have forgotten about!

The Fray, Switchfoot, Lifehouse, The Script, Good Charlotte. My all time favorite bands. Their music is so meaningful, full of emotions and feelings, it really gets to my heart.

I also discovered some new amazing bands like Bonaventure and Parachute.

I get goosebumps when I listen to every song. Unbelievable how all these singers aren't just singers, they are writers and they really know how to send messages right to our hearts!

I can't stop smiling and I don't feel like sleeping, I'm loving the music so much I don't want stop it.

I saw this quote the other day and it's exactly the way I feel sometimes :

''Sometimes all I want is to lock myself in my room, lay on the floor, listen to music and cry till I have no tears left''

Below is a few songs that I picked for this post.
Enjoy

^ Such an inspiring song!

^Amazing love story

DIY : Failed Melted Crayon Canvas.

6:39 PM

We all see these really cool melted crayon canvases all over the internet, and it looks so easy to make right? Well I'm not sure if I had no clue how to make it, or it actually is hard haha!

I collected pencil shavings every time I would sharpen pencils for my graduation collection and I kept them thinking that one day I can use them for something fun!
I kind of wasted them on this failed ''project'' haha

It looked nice from close but the whole thing was, well.. I won't say more.. just see the mess I did for yourself!

My Handmade Accessories At The Cultural Night Market.

10:52 PM

Hello everyone =)

I hope you're all doing great.
Around two weekends ago, I participated in the Cultural Night Market at the Safa Park for 2 days. I displayed my handmade accessories and DIY frames with some of my illustrations/photography in them.
I can't describe in words how much this experience meant to me.
It was like a dream, the moment me and my mom set my table up, to the moment we packed everything and left. She helped me so much and I wouldn't have done it without her!

Seeing people check out my stuff, try on my bracelets, and BUY things from me, it was SO SURREAL I couldn't believe it!!!!

At the beginning I was so nervous that I was shaking while wrapping the accessories in their boxes and sell them haha! This was my second time displaying them, but it felt like the first time because it was so active and so many different people liked my crafts, from 8 year old girls, teenagers, to older girls and guys.

It was such a fun event and I got to meet a lot of great people that I stayed in touch with, one of which is the very sweet Clare Elise, who wrote about my stall and the event here =)

The event managers were so sweet and encouraging and I couldn't have asked for a better event to showcase my handmade accessories at.

I would like to thank everyone who visited my stall and inspired me with their lovely compliments, they made me so happy.
You are the reason I am continuing to do this.

This isn't just a business for me, it's beyond personal and having the chance to show it to everyone means so much to me, it's like sharing a little bit of my heart with the world!

We raised a good amount of money for Lea, and hoping and praying for her full recovery, all your prayers will count!
Thank you so much again.

Covering my table hoping that the birds won't need to... you know haha!

DIY : Spiked Shirt & Shoes.

7:09 PM

I know, spikes are so overrated these days, we literally see them everywhere, on bags, shoes, jackets, shirts, etc.
But I've loved spikes and studs ever since I started designing 5 years ago. I wanted to put them on my university designs so bad but I couldn't find them anywhere!
So when I finally found them (after the LONGEST search) it was too late to use them because I have already graduated at that time.
So they've been with me for over a year now and I decided to add them to my H&M shoes and an American Eagle denim shirt.

For the shirt, I used spikes and a little cutout studded piece I cut out of this bag (Scroll down to the last pic of this link) the bag was getting old and started to cut out a little bit cause I used to use it literally everyday and fill it with so many things when I went to classes! So I decided to cut the studs out and get rid of the bag! See, that's the good thing about buying cheap non branded bags haha you can always reuse without feeling guilty ;)

From Where I Stand.

1:53 PM

Has anyone heard of #FromWhereIStand hash-tag on Instagram?
Well, I've been on Instagram ever since I got my iPhone around a year and a half ago and I used to be obsessed with this hash-tag in specific.
So here are some of the photos that I've collected around that time, in Dubai, London, and even Jordan =)

Thank you for reading my blog and have an amazing Friday <3 nbsp="nbsp" p="p">
